After all these months, WNBA All-Star guard Caitlin Clark‘s popularity is still growing larger by the day. This was proven recently by the Indiana Fever star’s awesome gesture towards fans before a game against the Minnesota Lynx.
The Fever recently defeated the Lynx with a score of 81-74 in a hard-fought WNBA matchup on the latter’s home court. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 21 points, while Aliyah Boston and Clark each contributed 17 points. Boston also had a career-high 16 rebounds and four blocks.

The Fever, who had lost 10 of their first 13 games, have now won eight of their last 12 and are starting to turn their season around. They held a slim lead for much of the game, but the Lynx kept battling back. Alanna Smith had 18 points, eight rebounds, and four steals for Minnesota, while Bridget Carleton tied her career-high with five three-pointers.
The Lynx were missing their star player, Napheesa Collier, who has been out with a foot injury. Without their leading scorer and rebounder, the Lynx struggled to keep pace with the surging Fever.
In a tight fourth quarter, Clark and Mitchell made clutch plays down the stretch to secure the victory for Indiana. The win moves the Fever to 11-14 on the season, while the Lynx fall to 16-8 but remain in the playoff picture in the Western Conference.

Clark is currently having an impressive run as a rookie in the WNBA with averages of 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 7.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Among the records she has made this season is becoming the first rookie to record a triple-double in league history.

Along with her becoming more comfortable on the court, the All-Star’s popularity among fans is elevating her to a whole new level, even during her first year in the league. Expect the rookie to become more well-known, especially if she pulls off more of these gestures towards fans.
