Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark will be sharing the court with Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky for the third time in the 2024 WNBA season.
The Fever and the Sky will be squaring off this coming Sunday, so it was a good time to ask about Clark’s thoughts on her rivalry with Reese and the Sky following Indiana’s 91-79 Friday win on the road over the Atlanta Dream. Anytime Clark and Reese meet in a basketball game, it’s always going to be an event, as the two have quite a colorful history that dates back to their college days.
“I’m pretty sure the only people that view this as a rivalry is all of you (media). For us, it’s just a game of basketball,” Clark said, per Fever reporter Scott Agness.
“That’s what it is. If it’s gonna help move the game forward, absolutely…”
Catilin Clark, Indiana Fever Looking to Score Another Win at the Expense of the Sky

The Fever beat the Chicago at home on June 1, 71-70, and defeated the Sky again on June 16, 91-83, also in Indiana. Clark and the Fever are also on a roll heading into this weekend’s tilt against Chicago, as Indiana is on a four-game win streak. Against the Dream, Clark scored 16 points with four rebounds and seven assists for the Fever, who improved to 7-10.
Thanks to their undefeated run, the Fever have moved into the the eighth place in the WNBA standings. However, that is still in a very precarious spot, as they are only half a game ahead of the Sky, who are ninth in the standings with a 5-9 record.
