Indiana Pacers star point guard Tyrese Haliburton caught attention during Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at home. And it’s not just because of his performance on the court. The former Iowa State Cyclones guard wore a special pair of sneakers in the game, which was ” Puma All-Pro NITRO PE ‘DX’ sneakers,” according to Michael Reichlin of SESSCOOPS.
Haliburton drew even more attention near the end of the game, as he drained a crazy game-tying 3-pointer and sank the subsequent free throw that gave Indiana the 115-114 win. Apparently, WWE legend Triple H saw how that unfolded.

“Buzzer Beater. Game over. Maybe it’s the shoes?” Triple H posted on X (formerly Twitter) while tagging Haliburton’s account.
Haliburton was able to respond to Triple H’s post over an hour later.
“And if you don’t like that… We got 2 words for ya!!!!” the two-time NBA All-Star said.

Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers stun Bucks with “football” play

The victory over the Bucks can be credited as well to the bold call of Indiana to run something that looked like it was patterned after an NFL play.
“It’s like a football play,” Haliburton said after the Bucks game, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). “It was great to see it work. The first time we ever ran the play in training camp two years ago, I made the shot the same way. I haven’t got the ball since. I usually hate running the play.”
Haliburton concluded his night with 14 points, 10 assists, three rebounds and two steals. Meanwhile, Pascal Siakam paced Indiana with a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds, plus five assists and a steal. Three players scored at least 10 points for the Pacers off the bench.
Indiana will look to build on its newfound momentum as the Pacers prepare for the start of a three-game road game that begins this Friday versus the Philadelphia 76ers.
