Golden State Warriors fans were treated to an incredible night of basketball after their Warriors took down the Portland Trail Blazers in an offensive showcase.
Jimmy Butler was the name kept on many Warriors fans’ lips after having an impressive performance against a struggling Blazers squad. While their automatic playoff ticket is far from secure, seeing such a performance from your second star instills a lot of confidence in the team and the fanbase that they can compete for the Larry O’Brien trophy.

While his outing against the Blazers was praiseworthy, Butler took a surprising post-game stance.
Warriors News: Jimmy Butler deflects credit after leading the Golden State Warriors with an incredible triple-double
Butler was all over the ball for the Warriors’ 120-130 win at the Chase Center. His 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists were key in helping the Dubs cruise past a Portland squad that was also clicking offensively.
While it would have been easy for a player of Butler’s temperament to hog the spotlight of every Warriors news website, he used the opportunity to praise his teammates for allowing him to be in such a situation.
Per NBC Sports Bay Area’s Will Simonds:
“You can’t get a triple-double without your teammates. That’s for damn sure,” Butler told reporters. “Whether they miss the shot and you get the rebound, or they make the shot whenever you pass it to them. [Triple-double] is just a word.
“I’m just happy that we won — triple-double or not. I take these wins as they come.”
While he hasn’t shown this facet of himself in Miami this season, Butler has always been a great teammate to play with. He’s ready to make the right play as long as he’s happy with his current situation, be it by scoring a tough shot or making a last-second defensive stop.
Jimmy Butler has been the key player Steve Kerr’s Warriors team badly needed. He’s been a consistent double-digit scorer for the Warriors this season, only missing the mark twice. He’s also been a reliable facilitator, making at least four dimes since his February 4 debut against the Chicago Bulls.

With him playing back to his strengths, it wouldn’t be strange to see the Warriors make a Finals run. While they will be facing tough opponents on the way, they’re more than capable of winning games with Jimmy Buckets on their side.
