What does Marcus Hayes got over the Philadelphia 76ers that they are being punitive on their own superstar, allowing Joel Embiid trade machines to go off?

An NBA source revealed that the Sixers are drawing the line when it comes to violence even if many saw it as justified and if it happens again, they are not going to hesitate to trade away their superstar.

“Team officials have made it clear; they don’t want this to ever happen again and have asked him to let this pass and be an unfortunate incident and they want him to be the bigger man and move on. If he abides, great, if he continues to do detrimental things then the franchise might have to consider trading him” a Daily Mail report said.

The issue started with Hayes writing about Embiid’s late brother and son to call him out for missing games due to injuries. The 2023 MVP naturally took offense and when the two met in the Sixers facility, Embiid confronted him that led to shoving.

The team might be taking cue from what Embiid told the reporter during the confrontation.

“The next time you bring up my dead brother and my son again, you are going to see what I’m going to do to you and I’m going to have to… live with the consequences,’ Embiid reportedly said.

Embiid has been suspended by the league – not the Sixers – three games for his action.

Joel Embiid trade rumors being fed based on his X likes

It cannot be confirmed if the X activity of Embiid is legit given how the social media company has hidden the likes tab but Sixers fans are still panicking.

Embiid reportedly liked an X post about Hayes revealing about team officials’ apology to him.

“Marcus Hayes said Daryl Morey and Elton Brand “apologized for the incident, expressed regret that it happened, and asked me for my version of events. … They agreed that Embiid’s actions were unacceptable,” the post said.

Morey hasn’t been that popular to Sixers fans following the departure of James Harden.

Harden and Morey have been working together since their time with the Houston Rockets but had a falling out as part of the Sixers last season.

Many think that if their president can experience that with a player like the Beard, it is not far-fetched that he will also not value the feelings of Embiid.

Is Joel Embiid trade happening soon?
