Joel Embiid has passed more than just his genes to his son, Arthur. Recently, Embiid’s wife Anne De Paula, posted on Instagram showing her son playing with a batman mask, mimicking his father who has been also playing his games with a mask. Embiid took to playing with a mask as a result of a sinus fracture, and this has become a signature of his as of late.
In the Instagram post, Embiid’s son can be seen wearing a black-and-white checkered onesie holding a small basketball and grinning while wearing the batman mask. Embiid and De Paula have been in a relationship since 2018, and had Arthur in 2020. Arthur is named after Embiid’s late brother who passed away in a car accident back in 2014.
In his most recent game for the Philadelphia 76ers, Joel Embiid managed to put up an impressive 28 points to lead the team on the scoreboard. Embiid also grabbed 12 rebounds in that game, while assisting six times. With Embiid leading the way, the Philadelphia 76ers went on to win the game against the Brooklyn Nets with a final score of 123-94. As of now, the 76ers are 11th in the Eastern Conference after winning 15 games and losing 20.
Philadelphia 76ers Need Joel Embiid And Paul George Against Pelicans
In other news, Joel Embiid has been absent for two games for the Philadelphia 76ers as a result of a foot sprain. The player has been listed to play as a day-to-day basis, and the team has been clearly missing him. Along with Embiid, Paul George missed the last game against the Wizards as a result of a groin injury.
Without Embiid, the 76ers played against the Phoenix Suns and the Washington Wizards. In the game against the Suns, Philadelphia lost badly with a final score of 109-99, while the game against the Washington Wizards was a walk in the park for them. Against the Wizards, Philadelphia won 109-103.
In Joel Embiid’s absence, Tyrese Maxey has risen as a stellar player for the Philadelphia 76ers. Against the Wizards, Maxey managed to chalk up a total of 29 points, grabbing three rebounds and assisting four times.
Meanwhile, against the Suns, Maxey contributed an impressive 31 points, with ten helpers. In the upcoming game against the New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia will hope to play Embiid again, pairing him with Maxey to try and win one more game in the season.
