JuJu Watkins appears in Uninterrupted’s ‘On the Rise’ series per her NIL deal with the television show. While in an episode, Watkins joked about breaking a world record outside her basketball career.
After answering questions thrown at Watkins shared by Uninterrupted on their Instagram account, she bantered about achieving a feat worthy of being included in the Guinness World Records.
The record, in particular, is how the media interviewed her. However, Watkins seems to appreciate it and expects more in the future.
“Today I had on three mics, so that’s a Guinness world record. Never experienced that before. But honestly, this is what it’s all about for women’s basketball. Just pushing that narrative, getting that coverage. So I’m blessed to be in that position,” Watkins said.

Earlier in the clip, JuJu Watkins also shared her honest thoughts about receiving the media coverage she gets when she plays on the court.
“I would say I’m pretty comfortable with the media, but kinda have me stepping outside my box a little bit and that’s where I have to really push myself,” the USC Trojans guard added.
The clip is part of the fifth episode of the “On the Rise” series. The section highlights how Watkins shone in her debut with the Trojans and some behind-the-scenes moments, such as the team’s bus rides to T-Mobile Arena and pregame speeches from Lindsay Gottlieb.

JuJu Watkins averages 24.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists with a 45.4% field goal percentage. She and the Trojans are currently 9-1 in the Big Ten Conference and will face the UConn Huskies on December 22.

Among Watkins were notable figures such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Michael Phelps, and the Berman Family—companies such as Warner Bros. Discovery and Avenue Sports Fund even landed their donations.

Unrivaled president Alex Bazzell was grateful for the funding, highlighting how the league is a significant step in propagating women’s sports.
“As women’s sports continue to surge in popularity and impact, we’re inspired by the growing momentum around Unrivaled and grateful for the strong support from our investors,” Bazzell said.
“Our players haven’t even taken the court yet and the foundation we are building with our partners unites unparalleled expertise, strategic insight, and an incredible product. Together, we’re setting the stage for Unrivaled for years to come.”
Despite playing for the USC Trojans at college, JuJu Watkins has already shown interest at Unrivaled, proved by making efforts to support the league. She’s one of college basketball’s stars, and many expect her to show another fantastic performance in her sophomore year.
