JuJu Watkins’s recent ACL injury on Sunday broke Lisa Leslie’s heart, according to the WNBA legend’s recent tweet. Leslie took to her X account to tweet out some words of encouragement for Watkins after the USC Trojans’ star tore her ACL in the NCAA second round matchup against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
The USC Trojans were devastated at their top player being taken out of the court after her injury, but still managed to come out on top as winners of the game with a 96-59 final score. Watkins’ teammate, Kiki Iriafen was the lead scorer for the team, chalking up 36 points on the scoreboard, while Avery Howell managed to contribute 18 more points for USC.
“My heart is broken💔 I will keep you in my prayers🙏🏾 @Jujubballin I know you will be back stronger and better!! Fight On @USCWBB for Juju✌🏾” Lisa Leslie tweeted from her X account.

Lisa Leslie has plenty of reasons to support JuJu Watkins apart from the 19-year-old simply being an absolutely talented star in her sport. Before playing for the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA, Leslie played college basketball for the USC Trojans, just like Watkins, from 1990 t0 1994. Leslie then went on to play for the Sparks from 1997 to 2009 as a center, going on to win the WNBA championship twice in her career.

JuJu Watkins’s Injury Caused By Jayden Daniels’ Mother As Per Latest Jokes On Social Media
While one-half of the basketball crowd is crying their eyes out over JuJu Watkins’ ACL injury, another half is out there making jokes on the internet. Some social media users have gone on to accuse Washington Commanders’ QB Jayden Daniels’ mother for Watkins’ injury.

In the game when she was injured, Watkins and Daniels were photographed speaking to each other casually in the seats of one of her games. However, sometime later, the two were separated by Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson. The memes immediately flooded in, with Jackson becoming an overnight template. After Watkins’ injury in USC’s latest game, Jackson was blamed for this as well.

Without JuJu Watkins, the USC Trojans will be going on to meet the Kansas State Wildcats in the Sweet 16 round of March Madness. While it will be surely difficult for USC to move ahead in the March Madness tournament without Watkins, the team will be leaning on Kiki Iriafen and the other star players to take charge of their offense.
