Kate Hudson, a popular actress, was last seen on the courtside in a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets. Hudson showed up with her sons, Ryder and Bingham, and also with her niece.
Lakers’ fans have plenty of reasons to love Kate Hudson more than everybody else. In her latest comedy series ‘Running Point’, Hudson plays Isla Gordon, a fictitious representation of Los Angeles Lakers’ owner, Jeannie Buss. The show is available on Netflix and has released ten episodes in their very first season. The series follows Buss’ rise from a posh girl to the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers team.
“Welcome to the #LakeShow, President of the Waves, Kate Hudson!,” the Los Angeles Lakers posted on Instagram along with a picture of Hudson and her niece who was wearing a LeBron James jersey.

Jeannie Buss, whom Kate Hudson portrays in ‘Running Point’ has had quite an interesting life even before she became the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. In fact, her father, Jerry Buss, owned several sports businesses, including the Lakers team. Jeannie Buss got her first job in the family business as the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings, a tennis team.
When Jerry Buss passed away in 2013, Jeannie Buss eventually became the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has since then done an incredible job with the team, going on to help her team win six NBA titles.
