Kawhi Leonard, Los Angeles Clippers forward, recently worried his fans after leaving the team to be with his family who needed to be evacuated as a result of the ongoing Los Angeles fires. Despite Leonard having a home in the Palisades area, his house seems to be still untouched by the fire.
The Clippers head coach Ty Lue, a short time ago, came forward to drop an update about Leonard, after the player was seen back in practice with the team. Leonard and the Clippers are currently ranked seventh in the Western Conference after winning 20 games and losing 17 so far.
“He’s been good. Tough situation for him and things he had to go through with his family and his house situation. We’re here to support him. Not only Kawhi, but everyone in the community that needed the help. We’re going to help and support. We’re really doing our best to be able to do that.” Coach Ty Lue said recently.
In his last game with the Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi Leonard managed to score eight points for the team, grabbing a pair of rebounds and assisting twice against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the Clippers lost the game 108-106, despite Norman Powell leading the team on the scoreboard with 25 points.

Kawhi Leonard Earns Gilbert Arenas’ Praise Who Predicts Better Future Performances
On another note, former NBA player Gilbert Arenas recently showered his praise for Kawhi Leonard on the latest episode of his podcast ‘Gil’s Arena’. Arenas went on to predict that Leonard would soon return to his elite form, despite not putting up many impressive performances this season. It is true that Leonard has not been able to put up decent numbers this season, mainly as a result of his injury.

Arenas expects Leonard back to his previous high-performing form by the All-Star break. In this season, Leonard is scoring an average of ten points in each game, while grabbing 2.5 boards in every matchup, while assisting 1.5 times. The 33-year-old player joined the Clippers back in 2019, after playing for the Toronto Raptors for a few years.

He was picked up by the NBA in 2011 in the first round as the 15th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers. Leonard moved to the San Antonio Spurs after which he played the Raptors and then the Clippers. The power forward is a two-time NBA champion and six-time All-Star.
