Los Angeles Sparks star Kelsey Plum gave her words of encouragement to rookie Georgia Amoore, who suffered an ACL injury in practice with the Washington Mystics.
In her Instagram story, Kelsey plum sent her support for Georgia Amoore, one of the rookies of the Washington Mystics. Unfortunately, even before her pro debut, Amoore had an ALC injury during training camp.
“She will be back better than ever @georgiaamoore 🤞🏼❤️” Plum captioned her IG story.
Washington Mystics rookie Georgia Amoore suffered an ACL injury during practice on April 29, 2025, less than a week into training camp. The No. 6 overall pick in the WNBA Draft was expected to be a key part of the Mystics’ rebuilding efforts, but the injury has sidelined her indefinitely.
The team has not provided a specific timeline for her return and stated that Amoore and the organization will explore treatment and rehabilitation options before making further announcements.

Amoore was set to make her WNBA debut in a preseason game against the Indiana Fever just days after the injury occurred. She had an impressive collegiate career, playing four seasons at Virginia Tech before transferring to Kentucky for her final year.
The injury is a significant setback for both Amoore and the Mystics, who had high hopes for her contributions this season. If the injury turns out to be a torn ACL, she could miss the entire 2025 WNBA season, as recovery typically takes six to nine months.
