Kevin Durant and Team USA are having a great time at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. The roster is grinding hard on the court to grab the gold and make the country proud.
That, however, doesn’t mean they can’t have a little fun—sometimes at someone else’s expense—and a recent example of this came from Bam Adebayo, who snuck a picture of Kevin Durant sleeping in their bus.
Durant was caught defenseless by the Miami Heat center, who seized the opportunity to take a selfie with him sleeping soundly. Adebayo didn’t provide any context when posting the picture on his social media.

NBA stars, like celebrities, always want to look good in public and avoid awkwardness in front of cameras. With the photo of him in a vulnerable state circulating online, one can only wonder how KD will react.
Kevin Durant is ok with not starting in the Olympic games
Team USA has won all three Group C games, thanks to their key players, which include LeBron James, Anthony Edwards, and Kevin Durant. However, many fans are asking why the Phoenix Suns forward has yet to start a game for the team.
Coach Steve Kerr decided not to let Durant start the first three games after he missed all of Team USA’s showcase games. KD was out of the tune-ups due to a calf issue, but he recovered in time to be back on the Olympic roster before the games began.
“If Kevin had been here from Day 1, chances are he’d be starting,” Kerr explained. “That was the plan coming in. But given that he missed all of our friendlies and came in late, we had kind of established a lineup that we liked. When we brought him back, he was only going to play a certain amount of minutes against Serbia.”
Durant didn’t seem to mind Kerr’s decision. In fact, when Adebayo tagged him in a comment to SportsCenter’s Instagram post, saying, “Bench Mob,” the “Slim Reaper” responded with a chair emoji, seemingly implying he’s okay with being a bench player.
Team USA will be facing Brazil on Tuesday in a quarterfinal match. Should they win, they will advance to the next round, facing either Serbia or Australia. On the other side of the bracket, the winner of the Germany-Greece matchup will battle the victor of the France-Canada game.
The semifinals will take place on Thursday, and the gold and bronze medal games will be on Saturday—the penultimate day of the Paris Olympics.
