Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant has been out of the court for the last seven games of his team, missing out on all the chances to lift the Suns up and perhaps the opportunity to somehow improve the 1-6 record of the team since he got ruled out due to his left calf injury. Prior to his return to the court against the Los Angeles Lakers, KD talked about the struggle of sitting out games.
In his interview with Kay Adams for the “Up and Adams” podcast, Kevin Durant talked about his experience off the court while recovering from his injury, and how he felt watching the games and not having the chance to do anything.
“It sucks, it’s the worst,” Durant said about his experience. “Our team was on a road trip so I would come here every day by myself, just lifting, working out, rehabbing, then go home and watch the games. I’d just dread every second of watching the game, I wanna be out there helping the guys.”
To no one’s surprise… KD hated missing the last 7 games and just wanted to hoop with his team 😓🧡

However, it was not all gloom and doom as he still found a silver lining in the midst of it and found a way to pivot what happened as a learning experience.
“You just kinda reset your mind, your body and get a clear view of what the league looks like from the outside looking in,” KD continued. “I’m not playing so I get to watch games from a different vantage point. I think that’s the only good thing.”
He added: “I’m ready to jump back into the action.”
Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal Make Overwhelming Comeback Against Lakers
As Kevin Durant returned to the court for a game against the Los Angeles Lakers., Bradley Beal also went out of the injury side to play for the Suns again. The duo did not fail to deliver on their comeback game, as they wiped the floor with a 127-100 win.
Both of them scored 23 points each for the team, securing the lead that the Los Angeles team was not able to recover from. Devin Booker was the lead scorer for the game, delivering 26 points. The win ended the five-game loss streak of the Suns.
The Suns wasted no time, as they ran the Lakers to a lead of 31-25 by the second quarter. The Purple and Godl eventually managed to tie near the end of the first half, but the Suns reclaimed the lead by the end, with 62-60 on the board.
