Kevin Durant claps back at one fan who called him out on social media, saying that his name is no longer among the favorites in the basketball betting market.
NBA legend Kevin Durant has been playing ball for decades now. The two-time NBA Finals MVP has been playing for the NBA since 2007, and has played for the now-defunct Seattle Supersonics (later relocated to OKlahoma and became the OKC Thunders), the Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and now for The Phoenix Suns.
In one of the recent games between LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, James was praised by putting in an extra effort for a fan who called out to him to get one more rebound. Apparently, this was for a parlay bet of the fan—luckily for the fan. James delivered on the request. This got praise from an X user, with an added shade towards Durant.
The fan said: “This is why nobody bets on [Kevin Durant’s] fragile a**.”
To which KD responded with: “You can’t keep lyin’ like this on the internet.”
King James has had 115 triple-doubles in his career so far, and currently stands as the fifth player with the most one in NBA history. Kevin Durant had 18 so far.
Kevin Durant out of The Sun for Two Weeks
The Phoenix Suns may need to find a way to keep their light bright even without Kevin Durant, as the basketball legend has been declared out of the game for at least two weeks, due to an injury he suffered from the Suns’ game against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Sun had a close ball against Dallas on Friday, and almost went to the locker room as the losers, if not by a single point. The game ended with the Suns winning with a final score of 114-113. However, the victory came with a price as Durant suffered a left calf strain from the game.
This wasn’t the first time KD was hit with this specific injury recently. Back during the Paris Olympics earlier this year, KD also had a left calf strain, but still managed to help bag the gold for his team.
However, that is not to say that the Suns are without offensive power outside of Kevin Durant. They still have four-time All-Star Devin Booker and three-time All-Star Bradley Beal, as well as rookie Ryan Dunn. The Suns currently stands #2 in the Eastern Conference at 8-2, only bested by the OKC Thunders at 9-2.
