Kevin Durant is just one of the many star-studded names joining Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics. NBA fans who’ll be going to the City of Lights to watch the game will have a great time seeing some of the best basketball athletes go at it against the best of the world.
The opportunity to play with LeBron James and Stephen Curry in one team is something only NBA fans can dream of, and to see them play for the Stars and Stripes will be quite a spectacle to see.
While Durant didn’t start in Team USA’s Vegas camp due to a strained calf, he’s not shy to talk about how excited he is to play with the rest of the US squad.
Kevin Durant thinks Paris Olympics’ Team USA is the best he’s ever been in
Durant sat down with Yahoo! Sports to talk about the preparations Team USA is taking for the gold medal in the Men’s Basketball event.
“It’s the deepest team i’ve played on. … Everybody is the guy on their team.”

He explained that this team has one of the deepest rosters he was a part of.
“I think the expectations area always going to be there. It’s the deepest team I’ve played on since I’ve been in the [USA Basketball program],” Durant said. “Everybody is the guy on their team.
“These guys are Hall of Famers, All-Stars… I’m excited about this.”
Durant also noted that while the 2020 Olympic squad also had a good number of stars, he explained that some of the members were still role players at the time.
Aside from LeBron, Steph, and KD, Team USA will feature players such as Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, and Anthony Edwards among others. Fans familiar with their game will have a rough time trying to contain such a stacked team in Paris.
