Lebron James has won everything but there is something that his Los Angeles Clippers rivals Kawhi Leonard and James Harden are doing better than him – hardwork.
Patrick Beverley has played with the three guys. He was part of the Lakers team from 2022 to 2023. He played with the Beard the longest from 2013 to 2017. He was briefly a teammate of The Klaw in the Clippers.
If there’s someone that could answer on how to size up these three, it is him.
Appearing in a podcast with Youtube celebrity N3on, the 12-year veteran found it easy to answer when asked who works the hardest among the players he has played with.
“Kawhi and James are probably [the two most] hardworking players I’ve ever been around in my entire life,” he said.
The host interjected and mentioned the Lakers superstar. Beverley has an interesting explanation.
“LeBron [James] is really gifted. He’s two, three plays ahead.”
This take by Beverley on LBJ checks. The man, who will be turning 40 next week, is regarded as a generational talent.
He came to the league in 2003 and still playing like he is in his prime.
Lebron James on his basketball IQ and longevity
King James’ built is one-for-one. Combine that with his basketball IQ, it will only prove that Beverley is right.
He is a well-rounded player.
There is no way to quantify who works the hardest but Lebron’s dedication in honing every part of his body, including the mind, is well-documented.
In a sit down with his former podcast co-host and now Lakers coach J.J. Redick in the Mind the Game show, he revealed that is preparations don’t just include basketball related trainings.
He said he is also developing his emotional IQ.
“You have to play the game to play the game. At the end of the day, being a good person shouldn’t have to be dedicated to just sports. That’s f–kin’ life. It’s being a good f–kin’ person. … No one’s telling you to be fake. Just be a f–king human being.”
