Larsa Pippen came out as a proud mother when her son, Memphis Grizzlies point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. recently achieved the first triple-double of his NBA career, in his team’s recent game against the Orlando Magic.
The Grizzlies shut down Magic with a final score of 128-104. For this game, Scotty Pippen Jr. took over for Ja Morant in the starter lineup, who is still out for an injury. He tallied his first-ever triple-double when he did 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists at 27:36 of court time.
Proud other Larsa Pippen took to Instagram her congratulatory message to her son, posting a story with his triple-double stats, with the caption “congrats my love.”
A triple-double is a feat in basketball where the player gets double digits in three categories: points, rebounds, and assists. While not a rare feat to pull off, it is still considered a huge achievement, as accomplishing it means that the player is a good all-rounder, excelling both in offense and defense.
What made this extra special for Scotty Pippen Jr. is that this was his first triple-double in his NBA career. He was first drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2022, and this is his first season with the Grizzlies.
This also made history as he and his father, former Chicago Bulls superstar and seven-time NBA All-Star Scottie Pippen are now considered the first father-and-son duo in the Association to both have triple-doubles. Scotty Pippen recorded triple-doubles throughout his NBA career.
Larsa Pippen is Single and Laying Low
Larsa Pippen has had a very curious love life, at least recently. She and her former lover Marcus Jordan, son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, have broken up only to get back together again, and then call it quits again a month after getting back together.
With this, the TV personality Larsa Pippen is trying to keep details about her love life in the low.
“I’ve been trying to lay low,” she said during an interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea.”
“I think from my last relationship, it was so public that I think in this chapter of my life, I want to keep certain things to myself,” Larsa Pippen added “And not be so overly open because it just didn’t work out well for me, my last situation.”
Larsa Pippen is also hesitant to make her next relationship as public as she did with Marcus, and she may not feature it in her show “Real Housewives of Miami,” saying that she would have to “figure out the vibe” with the person first before making anything public.
