LeBron James’ agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, has chimed in on the talks of who should be the next face of the NBA. With James being 40 years old and Kevin Durant and Steph Curry turning 37, the retirement date for these superstars is drawing ever nearer.
While that date remains up in the air, the NBA community is already looking for the player who will take over as the new face of the league. While many are concerned over it, Paul has a different idea.
Talking on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, LeBron James’ agent shared his thoughts about the discussion.
“I know we’ve had that ‘face of the league conversation’ and I don’t think there’s gonna be a next ‘face of the league,'” Paul said. “I think there will be a community just like it was when (Michael) Jordan left in ’98. I think we should embrace that. It’s not naming somebody if it becomes one face, then that’s because that person earned it.”

LeBron James, Rich Paul’s top client, remains widely recognized as the face of the league, but the four-time NBA champion himself has said he does not intend to play for much longer. Whether he retires this season or the next, the fact will create a void that hungry young stars will look to fill themselves.

LeBron James finds support from Dwyane Wade amid his feud with Stephen A. Smith
LeBron James has found a stalwart supporter in his former Miami Heat teammate and longtime friend Dwyane Wade amid his public dispute with NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith. The controversy arose on March 6 when James confronted Smith courtside during the Lakers’ game against the New York Knicks at the Crypto.com Arena.
The analyst had made some comments about how LeBron handles his son Bronny James in the NBA, and the Lakers superstar expressed his frustration over what he thought was undue criticism of his son.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports, Wade defended James, making it clear that he would have done the same if it was him in his friend’s situation.
“I would have walked up on him the same way,” Wade said, emphasizing that his family is off-limits.

James’ agent Rich Paul has downplayed the controversy, saying that both James and Smith have moved on. He also pointed out that while analysts are free to critique players, they need to avoid making it sound too personal.
