LeBron James has been dubbed by former Lakers guard and podcaster Pat Beverley as the “Black Captain America,” and elevated him as the most powerful African-American, next to former US president Barack Obama. However, for critic Jason Whitlock, this cannot be the case.
In his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock gave his honest opinion on the topic of LeBron James getting dubbed by Pat Beverly as the “Black Captain America.” For Whitlock, the entire namesake just do not make sense fot the Lakers star.
“It’s like Patrick Beverly wet the tip of your finger stick it in the air and see which way the wind is blowing It’s not blowing LeBron James’ way,” Whitlock said.
“You can’t be Captain America when you’re actually captain anti-America.”
His co-host, Steve Kim, added: “And when I think of the NBA the perception is to a lot of people in this country it is a league of full of malcontents They complain too much without a sense of responsibility but with a complete sense of entitlement.”

Lebron James Explains His Habit of Leaving The Court Early After a Game
LeBron James has been often criticized for leaving a game as soon as it is finished—or even if the buzzer has not sounded yet. In his recent appearance on the “Mind the Game” podcast with Steve Nash, LeBron talked about this and explained the mindset he has behind the habit.
“A lot of people see me walking off the court, when it’s like, time left in the game,” James said. “No matter if it’s a loss or a win, the reason I’m doing it [is] I’m trying to get to the locker room to start my process. The game was a wrap, I gotta get to the locker room to start my process to get ready for the next game.”
“I’ll be sitting in the locker room, foot on an ice bag, ice bags on, I got my smoothie and my fruit and I’m already getting to it right now.”
Every second counts for @KingJames. 💪🏾

The Lakers veteran also admitted he is aware of the criticism he got for this habit.
“It was funny, during a loss, they was like, ‘oh he’s a poor sport. And then they start seeing me do it in the wins, ‘he’s got no sportsmanship!’”
“I’m like, what the f*** was that?”

So far this season, Lebron James has averaged 24.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game across 64 games. His shooting efficiency includes a 51.0% field goal percentage, 37.4% from three-point range, and 77.1% from the free-throw line.
