Los Angeles Lakers veteran LeBron James may soon join Golden State Warriors star player Steph Curry and get serious as investors in a golf league. With the initial success of the indoor league they both invested in, one NBA franchise co-owner thinks it’s a possibility.
LeBron James and Steph Curry have expanded their investment portfolios by backing the TMRW Golf League (TGL), an innovative indoor golf competition that has brought fresh energy to the sport. Initially seen as a risky venture, TGL exceeded expectations, drawing more than double the anticipated viewership in its inaugural season.
In an interview with Front Office Sports, former Milwaukee Bucks co-owner and now owner of TGL, Marc Lasry, expressed optimism in the future of the indoor golf league.
“The idea was you did a three-year deal, and that if things worked out, you would have a new media deal based on the fact that more people are watching,” he said. “And if things didn’t work out, it was fine—at least ESPN got a fair deal. I think the first season actually worked out far better than we thought.”

LeBron James Faces Retirement Questions After 2024-25 NBA Season
As the Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up their 2024-25 season, speculation surrounding LeBron James‘ future in the NBA was again put into the foreground.
Following the Lakers’ first-round playoff exit against the Minnesota Timberwolves, James told reporters that he would take time to discuss his future with his family and inner circle before making a decision. While he has not ruled out returning for another season, his comments have left fans and analysts wondering whether the King is ready to step away from the game.

With that said, James simply described his plans for the next season as “I don’t know.”
“We’ll see,” James added. “It’s a business, too. We don’t know what the roster will look like next year, besides the guys who are locked into contracts. I mean, s***, I have a lot to think about myself. I don’t know what the roster will look like. I don’t know where I stand right now.”
James has repeatedly stated that his mental approach to the game will determine his retirement timeline. He has emphasized that as long as he enjoys the process of preparation, including training, studying opponents, and maintaining his body, he will continue playing.

Despite his age, LeBron James remains a dominant force, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists this season.
