Los Angeles Lakers veteran star LeBron James just had himself transformed into a Ken doll, and while fans think this is an adorable representation, some think that this is only fitting of the LA star—in more ways than one.
In an episode of “Fearless,” analyst and critic Jason Whitlock discussed the news of LeBron James and his Ken doll, and how the Lakes star has been hailed as the news “Kenbassador.” During the program episode, Whitlock had author and life coach Shemeka Michelle as his guest, and she had her honest take on the news.
For Michelle, LeBron getting a Ken doll is only fitting, as it mirrors his real-life status as well.
“I think for LeBron though this is great, you know,” she said. “Because Ken has always played second fiddle to Barbie and that’s just what he’s done to Michael Jordan or even Kobe Bryant. So I think this is great for him.”
Still, she also had praises for the LeBron Kendoll, particularly the fact that it had hair.
“I’m just glad they gave him hair on this Barbie [doll],” she said. “I was wondering if it was going to be bald in the middle, I wasn’t exactly sure but I like the doll. Actually, I think the doll looks good, you know my first black Barbie didn’t smile? I always tell people she didn’t smile she had like this serious look on her face like she was angry.”

But, ultimately, Michelle was still firm that she wouldn’t be grabbing one LeBron James for herself.
“For $75, I will not be buying that for anyone that is a collector’s item price and I don’t collect Barbie dolls.”
