The Los Angeles Lakers have more worries than just an eight-game winning streak coming to an end on Saturday night. LeBron James and Luka Doncic are feeling weary following a 111-101 loss to the Boston Celtics in front of 19,156 fans at TD Garden.
Doncic finished the night with 34 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. James added 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists in a game he exited with 6:44 remaining in the fourth quarter due to a groin injury.
NBA News: Los Angeles Lakers have a concern

Per Dan Woike with the LA Times, Lakers head coach JJ Redick said after the game that he is concerned about James.
“JJ says there is “obviously concern” with LeBron James’ groin injury, but that he doesn’t have any information,” Woike posted on X.

James compared his groin injury to the one he suffered with the Lakers during the 2018-19 season. He said this issue isn’t as severe.
“Not much concern,” James said. “Obviously, we go day to day, look at it each day, see if it gets better, and take the proper measurements to see what we need to do going forward.”
LeBron James and Luka Doncic are hurt

With James hurt, the Lakers will need to lean on Doncic.
However, Doncic is also dealing with an issue. Per Woike, the recent trade acquisition has soreness in his back after falling in a recent game.
“Postgame Luka Doncic said he’s still dealing with some back soreness from a hard fall last week in LA (Knicks game? Can’t remember) but that he’s working through it and is ‘fine,'” Woike posted.

The Lakers’ next game is on Monday night when they travel to play the Brooklyn Nets. The starting lineup on Monday night will be telling on how the team feels about Doncic’s back and James’ groin.
With Saturday night’s loss, Los Angeles is now a half game behind the Denver Nuggets for the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference.
