LeBron James continues to express support for the rising WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark. He recently commended the 2024 WNBA All-Star after heating up in the Indiana Fever’s recent game against the Chicago Sky.
LeBron James congratulated Clark, expressing great applause for her through all-caps on his Twitter/X account. He also gave another short message to those who continue to doubt the Fever point guard despite her achievements. The Lakers’ veteran guard proves that the two-time AP Player of the Year’s critics are very wrong.
“CAITLIN CLARK!!!!! HI HATERS,” LeBron James captions in his X post.
Caitlin Clark was a beast in her last game against the Sky. She led the Indiana Fever in scoring, gaining a double-double of 31 points and 12 assists. Out of fourteen attempts, the Iowa Hawkeyes’ alumnus made eight. Five of those successful attempts were from downtown.
The Fever rookie’s performance shows she’s determined to win the WNBA Rookie of the Year over serious contenders. One young woman attempting to seize Clark’s big chance is Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky.
Reese also made a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. She also broke the league and franchise record for the most double-doubles and rebounds made by a rookie. However, Clark’s surpassed records in their match shattered the Chicago Sky forward’s achievements.
The three-time Big Ten Player of the Year is the only one in the WNBA to have at least 25 points and 10 rebounds in three games. With these records broken, the people’s choice becomes more evident when it comes to who to pick as the Rookie of the Year.
Clark’s team, the Indiana Fever, is on a three-consecutive win streak. Recently, they defeated the top-seeded Connecticut Sun in four games. Their victory against the Sky put their standings in 16 wins and losses each. The Fever also advanced to sixth place overall.
LeBron James reminisces his rookie years over Caitlin Clark’s majestic performance.
LeBron James was long aware of Clark’s immense potential in her first Year in the WNBA. The Lakers’ guard once said that the heavy expectations on the Fever rookie were the same as in his first years in the NBA.
The Lakers’ veteran greatly supports the three-time NCAA scoring leader due to their shared experiences as rookies. He believes that just like when he proved his bashers wrong and imbued his ever-lasting legacy in the NBA, Clark would do the same in the WNBA.
LeBron James will continue to monitor Clark’s rookie season. It’s still clear that she’ll persist in domineering the WNBA court.
