Los Angeles Lakers veteran star LeBron James and ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith seemingly reached its peak when James confronted Smith in person, but the feud was far from over. In the height of the back-and-forth between the two, one WNBA star shared her thoughts on LeBron’s recent diss against Smith.
In one of her Instagram stories, Seattle Storm guard Lexie Brown shared one of the latest posts of LeBron James that dissed Stephen A Smith. In his post, James posted a video of Smith practicing with a punching bag.
“Lebron had time today,” Brown said.

The video, which featured Smith practicing with a trainer, was captioned with “WHOMP WHOMP WHOMPPPPPPPP” and accompanied by laughing emojis. This post came after Smith claimed on his podcast that if LeBron had physically confronted him during their courtside altercation on March 6, he would have “immediately swung” at the NBA star, even though he admitted he would likely lose.
LeBron’s Instagram post added fuel to the ongoing back-and-forth, with Smith responding on his show by calling LeBron “petty” and accusing him of being overly sensitive.

The feud between the two began when LeBron confronted Smith during a Lakers game, asking him to stop making personal comments about his son, Bronny James. Smith’s remarks about Bronny’s performance as a rookie in the NBA had sparked criticism, with LeBron emphasizing the importance of protecting his family from such scrutiny.
Smith later defended his comments, stating they were strictly professional and not personal

During one of the recent editions of his program “First Take,” analyst Stephen A. Smith gave a controversial commentary about LeBron James, questioning why the Lakers veteran did not attend the funeral of Kobe Bryant.

The commentary gained a lot of backlash, with people pointing out that James was, in fact, in attendance at the late superstar’s funeral. Following the backlash, Smith went to social media to “clarify” himself.
“My apologies and clarification. I misspoke in Hour#1 of First Take today when I intimated that LeBron did not attend Kobe Bryant’s memorial,” Smith wrote in his X post. “I corrected myself in Hour#2 when I acknowledged he was indeed in attendance. My mistake. Should not have even broached that subject. It was not my main point.”

However, the analyst reiterated that he does not retract anything else aside from the mistake on LeBron’s attendance.
“I retract NOTHING else that I said. Have a nice day!”
