The Los Angeles Lakers had a bad night when they broke their eight-game winning streak in a 111-101 loss to the Boston Celtics in front of 19,156 fans at TD Garden. Following Saturday night’s loss, the Lakers had worse news on Sunday morning about LeBron James’ health.
Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, James is expected to miss approximately one-to-two weeks due to a groin strain he sustained in the loss to Boston.
“Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is expected to miss at least 1-to-2 weeks with a groin strain, sources tell ESPN,” Charania posted on X. “James will wait for the groin injury to calm down over the next 24 hours and receive another evaluation.”

Los Angeles Lakers star Lebron James decided to flop

While James’ health was the subject of some conversation Sunday morning, many NBA fans were worried about his actions on the court Saturday night. People were concerned about the star flopping on Jayson Tatum during the game.

“Unbecoming” of a superstar

Mark Potash with the Chicago Sun-Times suggested James’ flop was “unbecoming” of a superstar.
“Like LeBron, Michael Jordan was all about gamesmanship — Will Perdue said MJ would slap his own wrist on his follow-through to get foul calls,” Postash wrote. “But Jordan was so much better at it than LeBron — and rarely did it in a manner so unbecoming of a player of his stature.”

Many NBA fans agreed with Potash, that what James did by flopping was weak.
“The GOAT right? Did we have any footage of Jordan or Kobe doing this,” asked a fan.
“The greatest flopper in the NBA history. He has all the labels in the history. He should be the GOAF, the Greatest Of All Floppers,” posted another.
“ridiculous, it makes me laugh when they tell me this clown is better than jordan,” wrote a fan.
“Ruining the league. He should never be in the Jordon convo again,” argued another.
