LA Lakers star LeBron James’ wife Savannah James recently expressed her thoughts about seeing her husband play in the NBA with their son Bronny James.
Savannah was a guest along with April McDaniel on Wednesday’s episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show.” There she talked about watching her husband and son play together.
“It’s a very surreal feeling,” Savannah said (Timestamp: 1:54). “I’m very proud of the both of them, all of the accomplishments that they’ve made, thus far.”

King James’ queen shared that he had been intent on playing with their eldest son in the NBA. The four-time champion himself even declared that he “will do whatever it takes” for it to happen before he hangs up his jersey.
“It’s always been his dream, so I couldn’t be more proud. I couldn’t be more grateful,” Savannah added.
LeBron and Savannah James were married in 2013 and have three children together. Their second son, Bryce, is also playing basketball and has recently announced his commitment to the Arizona Wildcats.
LeBron James fulfilled his dream to play with his son Bronny
The LA Lakers selected LeBron James’ son Bronny James as the 55th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. On Oct. 22 last year, during the Lakers’ season opener, LeBron fulfilled his dream, making history with Bronny as the first father-and-son duo to play in an NBA game on the same team.
The Lakers won their season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves, 110-103. Following the game, King James spoke to the media about how grateful he was for that special moment.
“That moment, us being at the scorer’s table together and checking in together, it’s a moment I’m never going to forget,” LeBron said. “No matter how old I get, no matter how my memory may fade as I get older or whatever, I will never forget that moment.”
LeBron James hyped on his wife’s talk show appearance
A day before his wife Savannah James’ guest appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” LeBron James posted on his Instagram story to hype his fans.
The four-time NBA champion reposted a clip of Savannah and April McDaniel being interviewed by actress and host Drew Barrymore. McDaniel is Savannah’s co-host on her “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast, which has amassed a following since its launch last year.
“Don’t miss it,” LeBron said in his post.
Barrymore created, produced, and hosts her own talk show, currently in its fifth season. It is distributed by CBS Media Ventures, with over a thousand episodes already aired.
