Indiana Fever shooting guard Lexie Hull recently talked about how she navigates media and fan scrutiny as a player for the WNBA.
In her recent appearance on the “Nothin’ But Net” program, Lexie Hull talked about the challenges of being a WNBA player and how she deals with the negativity brought by the media and some of the fans.
“I got advice once that I think is really important and it was only take opinions from people you would take advice from,” Hull said. “I wouldn’t take advice from a lot of the people that are saying the negative things.”

While she admitted that it is hard to shut out negativities sometimes, she emphasizes the importance of having the right mindset.
“It’s hard, but try not to listen or read them or think they mean anything,” she added. “Really they don’t. You don’t care what they have to say whether they were giving me good advice or bad advice so I shouldn’t listen to the opinions of them either.”
Lexie Hulls Begins Practice for 2025 Season
Lexie Hull is getting ready for the 2025 WNBA season, and she started throwing hoops to kick things off.
In a post by the Fever’s X account, Hull warmed up for practice with some shots, with the team welcoming her back to action with the caption: “Welcome back, Lexie Hull ❤️”

Lexie Hull’s journey with the Indiana Fever began when she was selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft. Her selection surprised many, as she was projected to be a late first-round or second-round pick. Despite the initial skepticism, Hull embraced the challenge and worked hard to prove her worth on the professional stage.
In the following seasons, Hull continued to develop her game, earning recognition for her defensive prowess and team-first mentality. She participated in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball during the WNBA offseason, where she honed her skills and received accolades such as Defensive Player of the Year and Teammate of the Year.
As the 2025 WNBA season approaches, Hull is focused on building consistency and contributing to the Fever’s ambitious goals. Under the leadership of head coach Stephanie White and alongside star players like Caitlin Clark, Hull is determined to help the team make a deeper playoff run.
During the 2024 season with the Indiana Fever, Lexie Hull averaged 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, while shooting 44.1% from the field, 47.1% from three-point range, and 80.5% from the free-throw line.
