James Harden has remained consistent in his 16-year career in the NBA. He’s experienced some of the best moments a player could achieve. Also, he’s been at the bottom at one point in the league. However, with the Los Angeles Clippers, he’s revamped his image now that he’s in the latter part of his life in the association.
He has resumed his position as a full-time floor general with the Clippers. He used to be the team’s floor general and top scorer when he was with the Houston Rockets. He is no longer scoring as many points for the Los Angeles club, but he is still doing the same thing.

His former teammate, Chandler Parsons, has observed how well the star guard has been consistent. On Wednesday’s episode of FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back,” the former NBA player talked about how the one-time MVP has reconditioned himself now that he’s nearing the end of his career.
“He’s had a great year, he’s had a great career,” Parsons said. “And he is one of those guys that we are gonna miss when he’s gone because he’s just been so consistent. He’s changed the game.
“There were rumors and there’s talks about him early on. He like to get after, he liked to drink a little bit. He had weight issues. That’s all just a distant memory now. He’s completely revamped his image, his career is still on a trajectory that’s going up and he’s obviously a huge piece to this team.”
This season, James Harden is the second-highest scorer for the Clippers, averaging 22.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists, which earned him a spot in the 2025 All-Star Game. The 6-foot-5 guard has helped the team capture the eighth spot with a 35-30 record.
ESPN analyst regrets voting for James Harden in 2018

James Harden won his only MVP award during the 2017-18 season. Most voters chose Harden as their pick to win the award, while LeBron James finished second in the voting. Years after that, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said he regrets not voting for the four-time champion that season.
“I have a few regrets, O.K.? One of my regrets is in 2017-18, which was the last year LeBron played in Cleveland, that I didn’t vote for LeBron for MVP,” Windhorst said. “I just gave Harden all those flowers. Harden won the MVP that year, and I voted for him for MVP, and I do regret that vote. Because the longer I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realized how great LeBron was in this season,” Windhorst said.
That season, James played 82 games, averaging 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 9.1 assists. He also led the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals.
