Even after all the controversies, James Harden is still a force to be reckoned with on the court. Just recently, the Los Angeles Clippers’ All-Star guard shared his thoughts about his time after playing in the NBA.
James first made waves in the NBA as part of a talented Oklahoma City Thunder trio that had Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in it. Although they reached the NBA Finals in 2012, the Beard would be traded the season after to the Houston Rockets.
From there, Harden established himself as a dominant scorer who can drain buckets from anywhere on the court. His peak came during a three-year run from 2017 to 2020 when he averaged 33.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.9 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
After his stint in Houston, Harden would spend some time playing for the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. Unfortunately, the All-Star shooting guard’s stay with those teams didn’t really materialize to postseason success. The same can be said too in his current run too with the Los Angeles Clippers after they were eliminated in the playoffs by Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks.

Even though he has won a host of accolades, including an MVP and a Sixth Man of the Year award in 2012, Harden really hasn’t won a championship yet. Putting that aside, his list of accomplishments has earned the 10-time All-Star a strong chance to make the Hall of Fame.
It remains to be seen whether Harden can win a ring in the remainder of his NBA career. In any case, he still has a chance to change his narrative just in time for his impending retirement.
