The Los Angeles Clippers did not have the services of Kawhi Leonard on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings. The six-time All-Star has been ruled out again for Thursday’s marquee matchup against the defending champs Denver Nuggets as LA looks to avoid back-to-back losses.
Leonard is currently dealing with a knee problem, which could now be a cause for concern for the Clippers.
Los Angeles Clippers News: Tyronn Lue Provides Ominous Update on Kawhi Leonard Injury

Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue spoke to reporters ahead of Thursday’s highly anticipated clash against Nikola Jokic and Co. When asked about the status of Kawhi, the veteran shot-caller responded with a cryptic update:
“We’re not gonna get into the details of it, but he’s gonna miss a couple games and we need to be ready to step up as he goes through his rehab process,” Lue said, via beat reporter Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.
According to Azarly, the “couple games” Lue was referring to were Tuesday against the Kings and tonight against Denver. Lue acknowledged, however, that there is still no clarity on whether or not Leonard will be able to suit up in Friday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz.

It is worth noting that Lue also refused to shed light on whether or not Leonard underwent an MRI to check the extent of the injury. However, the fact that Coach Lue has said that he expects the rest of the squad to “step up” could hint at the possibility of Kawhi missing more time beyond tonight’s absence.
The Clippers have six more games to play in the regular season following Thursday’s contest at the Crypto.com Arena. As of writing, they remain two games ahead of the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 4 spot in the West.
