The Los Angeles Clippers are scheduled to host the Philadelphia 76ers this Wednesday night at Intuit Dome in Inglewood. That also means that for the first time since their split in the offseason, the Clippers and star forward Paul George will be sharing the floor in a game. George played a total of five seasons with Los Angeles before signing a massive $211.58 million contract with the 76rs last July.
According to NBA insider Marc J. Spears of Andscape, the Clippers are planning to show a video tribute for George.
“I’m really curious to how The Wall and other Clippers fans respond to PG being back in the building,” Spears said during an appearance on ESPN’s NBA Today.

Spears will find out about that, but based on a lot of reactions online, it seems that fans are more confused than excited over the Clippers’ tribute plan.

“Hopefully they show the 3 off the backboard in game 7 in 2020, or the 2 missed free throws in Game 2 of the 2021 WCF, or missing the 2nd play in game in 2022, or not playing in the 2023 playoffs, or being a complete no show in the 2024 playoffs?”

Los Angeles made the NBA Playoffs four times during George’s time with the team, including a Western Conference Finals appearance in 2020.
