It’s been a tough couple of years for the Los Angeles Clippers.
They’ve aggressively pushed for the NBA championship with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George taking charge, but they don’t even have an NBA Finals appearance to show for their partnership. They failed to come out of the Western Conference despite the multitudes of players they brought over in the last five years.

There are various factors behind the Clippers’ failures, with one of them being Kawhi Leonard’s health. Due to this, they now find themselves at a crossroads as Paul George’s current contract with the team is about to end.
George is a terrific player, but there are big questions about whether the player himself still wants to play with the Clippers beyond the upcoming season. Regardless of where PG13 ends up playing next season, there’s just one thing he wants to make clear.
Paul George wants to stay on the West Coast if he leaves the Los Angeles Clippers

Plenty of teams are closely observing whether George would opt in his final year with the Clippers, so there are plenty of options for the forward if he wants to actively chase a title with a contender.
However, George makes a strong announcement that effectively narrows down the potential destinations he can go to.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst explained the situation, per FOX Sports’ Kelli Johnson:
“I’m not so sure Paul George really wanted to leave the West Coast. I think that was something that Philadelphia ran into when they kicked the tires there,” he said.
George has been a terrific player for the Clippers last season. He’s done a lot of carrying for the team as its most available star, averaging 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals a game. His superb value in offense and defense will be critical in various team’s championship hopes.
If we seriously consider Windhorst’s words, the Golden State Warriors would be the perfect destination. However, things would only remain as rumors until all the parties involved pull the trigger.
