The Los Angeles Lakers recently released their video interview of Bronny James, where the former USC guard answered several questions to help the fans get to know him more.

Bronny James explained what he felt when the Los Angeles Lakers selected him with the No. 55 pick of the 2024 NBA Draft. He also shared in the video why he chose to wear No. 9.
“(When I) heard my name called, it was a lot of emotions,” Bronny said via the Lakers’ official X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
“Well, there weren’t many numbers available for me to pick. Nine was one of the ones that you know, resonated with me especially because I have three of them tattooed on me. Juice World’s 999, meaning it’s turning everything negative and flipping it upside down,” he added.

Bronny James is coming off an up-and-down run in the recently concluded NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas, where he averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 35 percent from the field and 15.8 percent from three-point land.
Los Angeles Lakers rookie denies report on Bronny James getting “special treatment”
Los Angeles Lakers rookie Blake Hinson recently slammed The US Sun’s report that put Bronny James in a bad light. According to the column, an anonymous Los Angeles Lakers source revealed that the attention attracted by the eldest son of LeBron James “caused friction” among the team.

“No. Where is that (report) at? Honestly, you know how it is. Stuff like that doesn’t really shock me. But we need to figure out if that’s even true because to be totally honest with you, as far as his treatment, he was just a normal guy,” Hinson said about Bronny James via Ron Gutterman of Lakers Nation.
“He just played basketball, he really stays out of the way. He’s a cool dude. I don’t really understand how something like that came out. So that’s nonsense to me,” he reiterated.
