Many people will say that getting drafted to the NBA is only the beginning of a basketball player’s journey. This is especially true if the athlete in question is drafted to a team as storied as the Los Angeles Lakers.
The amount of scrutiny many Lakers rookies go through is rare, even if it’s in a league where only the best athletes ever make it through the front door. Even if people believe that LeBron carried his son into the league, it’s hard to deny that the young man could ball.

Fortunately for the man who’ll wear #9 for the Purple and Gold next season, he’ll have the perfect opportunity to prove his doubters wrong as the Summer League is fast approaching.
Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers have a chance to show out in the NBA Summer League

The Summer League is a great place for NBA teams to figure out the talent level of their rookie class and where they will fit in their plans for the coming season.
The Lakers have announced their upcoming list of games in the California Classic, and their opponents will pose an interesting challenge to Bronny and company.
ClutchPoints’ Jedd Pagaduan detailed the Purple and Gold’s Summer League schedule:
The Lakers will play a total of three games in the California Classic, per Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, beginning with a matchup against the Sacramento Kings on July 6 at 4:30 PM E.T. They will then finish off the competition with a contest against the Golden State Warriors on the 7th at 6:30 PM E.T. and a tussle against the Miami Heat on July 10 at 7 PM E.T.
Bronny James has a lot to prove in the Summer League

Bronny knows better than anyone that he won’t silence his critics throughout his rookie season. He cannot deny the fact that his father most likely had some pull in Rob Pelinka going with him in the latter stage of the second round.
He also cannot erase his abysmal performances with the USC Trojans. His haters would be silent if he had an okay season with the Trojans, but there’s no use crying over spilt milk.
The only thing the eldest son of the James household could do now is focus on his game and silence everyone with a solid Summer League showing.
