The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Detroit Pistons on Monday with three of their starters on injury report and mostly out of the game, leaving the team a little crippled but still powerful against the Pistons. The Lakers will play for their fifth win this season.
First on the list is Anthony Davis. For most of the season so far, Davis has been one of the most utilized players by the team. He has an average court time per game of 35 minutes and contributes an average of 32 points per game. The Lakers’s winning streak is largely attributed to the dominating energy of Davis during the early parts of the game. He is at “probable” under the injury report for right hip soreness.
Another player that is under “probable” is Austin Reaves, following his right ankle injury during his team’s Friday games against the Toronto Raptors. He was subbed out and went to the locker room, but eventually joined back after a while. Reaves had 13 points when he went out and finished the game at 19 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. LeBron James had 18 points for the game.

D’Angelo Russell is under “questionable” status as he suffers from a right foot contusion. He was also previously listed with a minor back issue. Despite this, he played well in four games he was in, with an average score of 14.8, and an average play time of 30 minutes per game.
Two players, Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Wood are out for the game as they are both recovering from surgery. They have been out for previous games as well, and are both expected to be out until November 16, or later, depending on their recovery status.
Los Angeles Lakers: Where They Are For The 2024-2025 Season
The Lakers currently stand at a 4-2 win-loss streak, losing only to the Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers, consecutively. This places them 5th in the Western Conference.
Following their Monday game against the Pistons, The Los Angeles Lakers is set to play against the Memphis Grizzlies on November 7.
