A recent video of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht has surfaced now that he’s teamed up with LeBron James in Hollywood. In it, the Tennessee alumni is asked several questions about the NBA.
One query that stood out, though, is when the interviewer asked Knecht about his GOAT. Apparently, in the young man’s opinion, that honor is reserved for Kevin Durant.

To be fair, the interview took place before the Lakers drafted Knecht as the No. 17 overall pick in the draft. The ex-Volunteers star did not have any bias when he was asked about his GOAT:

At this point, it would not be surprising if Knecht’s opinion has changed. After all, he will be spending every single day with LeBron on the court for the foreseeable future.
Another interesting response Knecht had pertained to his opinion on the greatest basketball team of all time. The 23-year-old picked the Denver Nuggets, which I am assuming has to be the same Nikola Jokic-led group that won the championship last season.
Let’s also not forget, though, that it was this same side that mercilessly swept the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals last season. I guess Knecht wasn’t really a big Lakers fan before he joined the squad.
That should all change now that he’s going to be repping the Purple & Gold.
