LeBron James is the talk of the town following quite an eventful Wednesday for the Los Angeles Lakers star.
He was already sparking buzz even before the Lakers’ road game against the Indiana Pacers because of the many things he said during a recent appearance on “Pat McAfee Show.”
The future Basketball Hall of Famer delivered into several subjects candidly, including that of former players who are now doing podcasts and/or now are analysts.
“And then you realize—you’re like, ‘I’ll be looking at it, and I hear it…’ I mean, those guys—a lot of those guys that played the game or did not play the game—it’s just, they played while they were talented, but I don’t think they ever thought the game,” the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player said (h/t HoopsHype).

Without mentioning names, LeBron James questioned the basketball intelligence of those personalities, who have found a niche in the media after their playing days.
“I don’t think they were ever smart.” “I just think they were bigger and stronger and maybe faster at the time, and they dominated. And when it was over, it was over. You know?”
“That’s why I’m able to still play at 40 years old. Mine is just—I can play the game because I can outthink the guys out there. And as my athleticism has gone down a notch—not a lot, don’t you dare… a little fat too, you know—as my athleticism has gone down a notch, I’ve still been able to bring up other facets of my game to still do what I need to do every single night.” “But the talking heads of our sport? Oh my goodness.”
LeBron James plays the hero role for the Lakers on Wednesday

The 40-year-old James made Wednesday even more memorable when he scored the game-winning tip-in against the Pacers to give the Lakers a 120-119 victory.
James started slow in the contest, leaving many to wonder whether he could finish the game with at leats 10 points to continue his double-digit scoring streak. He ended up with 13 points on 4-for-12 shooting from the floor with 13 rebounds and seven assists while adding a steal in 38 minutes of action.
