Many raised their eyebrows and doubted the future of the Los Angeles Lakers when they hired former NBA shooter JJ Redick to be their next head coach after parting ways with Darvin Ham.
Fast forward to today, the Lakers are the No. 2 team in the Western Conference standings and riding an eight-game win streak after taking down the New York Knicks at home on Thursday night, 113-109.
Following the gutsy win against the Knicks, LeBron James was seen giving the rookie NBA head coach a dap, a simple but seemingly powerful gesture from the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player, who trusts what Redick is doing for the team.
