Luka Doncic continues to endear himself to the Los Angeles Lakers community after he made a significant monetary contribution to a restoration project.

Mural by Sloe Motions recently set up a GoFundMe to fund the restoration of the defaced artwork of the late Kobe and Gianna Bryant in downtown Los Angeles, intending to raise $5,000. Doncic paid it in full even if he didn’t need to.
“Like I always say, my foundation gives back to organizations in the community. It’s always important to give back to the community that gave me so much. So just wanted to give back,” Doncic said via Daniel Starkand of Lakers Nation.

Doncic is still relatively new to life as a Los Angeles Lakers player since he only arrived via trade last February. However, he has already become one of the franchise’s most popular players in such a short amount of time.
Los Angeles Lakers on the brink of elimination
The Los Angeles Lakers are in a difficult spot since they’re one defeat away from being eliminated early in the 2025 NBA playoffs. They will host the Minnesota Timberwolves later at Crypto.com Arena for Game 5.

Luka Doncic and LeBron James combined for 65 points in Game 4, but that wasn’t enough to beat Minnesota. Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves added 23 and 17 points in the losing effort.
Los Angeles must be better in the final period against Minnesota, as the latter has outscored them 105-69 in all fourth quarters this series, including 32-19 in Game 4.
