Luka Doncic played huge in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 94-85 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last night at Crypto.com Arena.

The Slovenian international posted 31 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists on 9-for-20 shooting from the field and a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line. He has already scored at least 30 points for the second consecutive match.
In doing so, Doncic became only the third player behind Shaquille O’Neal (1997) and George Mikan (1947) to score at least 30 points in his first two playoff games with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Doncic received enough support from his teammates to help the Los Angeles Lakers tie the series at one game apiece. LeBron James, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura chipped in 21, 16, and 11 points.
Los Angeles Lakers News: Luka Doncic sends clear message to team after Game 2 victory
The Los Angeles Lakers remain at a disadvantage because they’ve lost their homecourt advantage after losing in Game 1. Luka Doncic said after Game 2 that the Purple and Gold must bring their A-game in Minnesota to regain the upper hand in the first-round series.

“Going into Minnesota is going to be a war,” Doncic said via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “The fans are going to be cheering like crazy. So no matter what, we can’t panic. We got to stay together. And that’s on me and Bron to keep the team together.”
“I think it just goes back to the other night when we basically got punked,” Reaves added. “They came in here, Game 1, and punked us. You could tell from the energy in the locker room after the game that nobody was worried about what we have. We just had to go out there and compete every single possession.”
