The stars showed on Monday night as the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics squared off in the NBA 2K Summer League. Arguably the biggest name in attendance was reigning NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, who was there to support his Boston teammates.
Brown sat frontcourt alongsideWNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick, his rumored girlfriend, as well as Chicago Sky rookie sensation Angel Reese. At one point, however, Brown was caught on video sharing his way-too-honest thoughts about Lakers second-round pick Bronny James.
Los Angeles Lakers News: Did Jaylen Brown Diss Bronny James?
The aforementioned video of Brown conversing with Gondrezick is currently makings its rounds on social media. There is no audio in the clip, but it doesn’t require an expert lip-reader to make out what Brown was saying.
“I don’t think Bronny’s a pro,” Brown said of the 19-year-old.
Gondrezick then replied by saying that she believes that LeBron James’ son is headed to the NBA G League “for sure.” Brown had other ideas, though.
“I don’t think so, I think because of his name he’ll be on the Lakers,” he responded.

To be clear, the transcript above is merely a conjecture, and there’s really no way to tell if these were the actual words Brown uttered. That being said, based on this video, it would be really hard for Brown to deny that he was criticizing Bronny.
To be fair, the Celtics superstar was just being honest. Then again, this probably still won’t sit too well with LeBron.
