So much has been said about how Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James feels about his team fulfilling his dream to play alongside his son, Bronny after LA scooped him up as the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
It’s also very interesting to know how Anthony Davis feels about all this, considering how AD is considered the main man for the Lakers moving forward. Apparently, the nine-time All-Star is not “mad” about the decision.
Los Angeles Lakers News: Anthony Davis’ Honest Thoughts on Bronny James

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported even before the Lakers drafted Bronny on Thursday night that Davis was actually on board with the decision. Apparently, AD was left impressed by what he saw from the younger James during Bronny’s pre-draft workout:
“I wouldn’t be mad at the team if we took him if he was still available at 55 and see where it goes from there,” McMenamin quoted Davis. “AD told me he got to watch Bronny work out several times in the pre-draft process and he watched the way he played alongside a big man. AD told me he was ‘really impressed’ with the way he was able to break down the defense, get into the teeth of the teeth of it, and then be able to set up his teammates for success.”

True enough, the Lakers did go on to draft Bronny not long after.

Despite the big name he carries with him, it remains to be seen what type of role Bronny will have with the Lakers this coming season. He will need to work extremely hard to prove what he’s capable of in order to secure a place in the rotation.
Davis has already sounded off on how he feels Bronny could potentially find success in the NBA playing alongside a big man like himself but at this point, there’s no guarantee that the 19-year-old will be able to get significant playing time alongside Davis and of course, his dad, LeBron.
