JJ Redick’s Los Angeles Lakers coaching staff has just added another former Duke Blue Devils great in the form of Lindsey Harding.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on Tuesday that the Lakers and Harding agreed on a deal that makes her one of the assistants to work behind Redick, who just assumed the head-coaching position for the Purple & Gold franchise.
Sacramento Kings G League coach Lindsey Harding has agreed on a deal to become an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
Harding — the G League Coach of the Year for the Stockton Kings — reconnects with coach JJ Redick to join his staff. Harding and Redick have a long history that dates back to her years as a player development coach with the Philadelphia 76ers and an All-American at Duke.
Harding also appears to be someone that Redick has always been high on. In fact, some people on social media noticed a 2020 tweet made by Redick that seemed to praise Harding, who played college basketball with the Blue Devils from 2002 to 2007 and was the No. 1 pick overall in the 2007 WNBA Draft.

The Los Angeles Lakers add another Duke Blue Devil product to coaching staff

Aside from being both Duke products, Redick and Harding also worked together during their Philadelphia 76ers days with the former as a player and the latter as a pro personnel scout.

Now, Redick and Harding will be part of the same think tank that will look to help the Lakers, who finished the 2023-24 NBA season with a 47-35 record.
