Even with the Black Mamba gone from the NBA, the late Kobe Bryant‘s presence can still be felt in many ways among fans. This is evident when his former locker room in Staples Center for the Los Angeles Lakers is projected to go for an insane amount of money for an auction.
Bryant spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers and won numerous accolades with them. After a successful high school career, Bryant was selected 13th overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets and immediately traded to the Purple and Gold.
Bryant had an illustrious NBA career, winning five NBA championships with the Lakers, two NBA Finals MVPs, and the 2008 NBA MVP award. He was an 18-time NBA All-Star and made the All-NBA First Team 11 times. Bryant was also a nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection and won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1997.
Off the court, Bryant was involved in various business ventures, philanthropy, and media projects. He released a hip-hop album in 1999 and appeared in several films and TV shows. Tragically, Bryant’s life was cut short in 2020 when he was killed in a helicopter crash at the age of 41. He was widely mourned and his legacy as one of the greatest basketball players of all time is firmly cemented.
Los Angeles Lakers Star Kobe Bryant’s Locker Projected to Go Big in Auction
Similar to Bryant’s autographed card and Michael Jordan’s UNC acceptance letter, the late Lakers legend’s locker room in Staples center is expected to fetch bonkers money in auction. In a post Arash Markazi shared on his official X account, the said auction will start this week.
THIS JUST IN: Kobe Bryant’s Staples Center locker is being put up for auction this week. It’s the locker he sat in after scoring 81 points against the Raptors, 62 points against the Mavs in three quarters and 60 points in his last game against the Jazz. https://t.co/zBZxwLvZM0

The said item was discovered in 2018 and has been preserved in good condition with Bryant’s name on it. As it stands, this locker has seen the many great moments of the Lakers star, as well as the lows.
It remains to be seen how much Bryant’s old locker will fetch in auction. In any case, any collector would love to have this awesome piece of memorabilia for the history it represents.
