LeBron James is no stranger to critics and their endless opinion of what he does on and off the court. Just recently, though, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar dropped a one-word message to those who are doubting his mentality.
In the 2023-24 season, James held the distinction of being the oldest player in the NBA following the retirements of Miami Heat’s Udonis Haslem and Golden State Warriors’ Andre Iguodala. Throughout his impressive 21st season in the league, James showcased his enduring talent by averaging 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds per game.

Notably, he achieved shooting percentages of 54% from the field and a career-best 41.0% from beyond the arc, becoming the first player to maintain averages of over 25 points and eight assists while shooting at least 50% overall and 40% from three-point range for an entire season.
After successfully navigating the Play-In Tournament, James and the Los Angeles Lakers confronted Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs. Unfortunately, their journey concluded in the series, yielding to the Nuggets in five games. Throughout this playoff stretch, the King displayed his prowess, averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 2.4 steals per contest. Despite the team’s elimination, James continued to showcase his impact and leadership on the court.
Los Angeles Lakers Superstar LeBron James Gave a 1-Word Message To Critics Doubting His Mentality

All throughout his career, James has been the constant target of critics for a variety of reasons. Just recently, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer fired back in a tweet he posted on his X account.
Do they ever know what they’re talking about?! 🤷🏾♂️

Over the course of his 21-year career, James has averaged 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. He has also won four championships, four MVPs, four Finals MVPs, and 20 All-Star Game selections, among others.

Without a doubt, James will be inducted in the Hall of Fame once everything is said and done. But what cannot be questioned is his mentality for the game, which is evident by all the achievements he has amassed in the NBA.
