Los Angeles Lakers news: To say that Team USA failed to impress in Sunday’s exhibition game against South Sudan would be an understatement. While LeBron James and Co. did have their moments in this high-profile tune-up game, it’s hard to overlook the fact that they nearly suffered a catastrophic loss to an underdog South Sudan side.
Thanks to LeBron’s game-winning lay-up, however, the Americans were spared from their blushes. Team USA ultimately escaped with a razor-thin 101-100 victory.
Los Angeles Lakers News: LeBron James Delivers Important Message After Tight Win

As expected, it was James who was at the center of the post-game huddle. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer took the opportunity to send an important message to his teammates about using this win to help fuel their progress.
“We’ll get better,” he said. “We’ll get better and better. We’re less than two weeks still together. They’ve been practicing months and months and months. But good job, way to be resilient to come up with the win.”
A win is a win.

No lies were spoken here.

Team USA does not look like a finished product right now, and time is quickly running out for them with the Olympics set to start on Friday. Be that as it may, the Americans are still considered the heavy favorites to win the gold medal in the prestigious international tournament.
You can be sure that LeBron will do everything in his power to achieve this lofty goal.
