Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and the rest of Team USA have the basketball world still buzzing after they won the gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. And one of the top takeaways from the tournament was how James and Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry looked great on the court together.
Their teamwork with Team USA has fans and even players wondering about the possibility of both players being on the same NBA team.
Lakers big man Christian Wood is among those who want to see it happen.
“Bron and Steph should team up for the culture lol,” Wood wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
James and Curry have won everything there is to win in basketball. They are both multi-NBA champions who own multiple NBA MVPs as well. They are on the back nine of their respective basketball careers, with Curry turning 36 years old last March and James about to be 40 years old in December.
No one knows exactly how long James and Curry will continue playing basketball, but it’s fair to expect them to hang it up in the near future. The possibility of seeing the two going after a common goal in the NBA — the Larry O’Brien Trophy, of course — as teammates is an exciting one. However, making that happen is going to be easier said than done — at least anytime soon. Curry is under contract with the Warriors until the end of the 2025-26 season, while James just signed a two-year deal with the Lakers last July.
