The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly looking to give two-time NCAA champion coach Dan Hurley a mouthwatering offer to become the head coach of the team next season. And according to reports, Hurley will get his bag if he takes it.

Per Anthony F. Irwin of Lakers Daily, the Los Angeles Lakers’ offer will likely be in the “nine-figure range, with a ballpark of eight years, $100 million.”
Earlier this week, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Jeanie Buss and Rob Pelinka met with Dan Hurley on Friday to talk about a potential partnership.

If Dan Hurley decides to go to Hollywood, he will reportedly have to pay the UConn Huskies $2 million, which is not that painful for him if he makes the jump to the NBA, given his new lucrative deal.
What Dan Hurley brings to the Los Angeles Lakers
Getting Dan Hurley to be the next Los Angeles Lakers head coach is not a bad move because he is a proven winner at the collegiate level. In his six years with the UConn Huskies, the 51-year-old amassed a 141-58 win-loss record (.709).
The highlight of his college coaching career is winning back-to-back NCAA titles for the UConn Huskies. But more importantly, Hurley is known as a players coach who can find and develop young talent, and that’s what the Los Angeles Lakers need, given their aging roster.

LeBron James is said to be a fan of Dan Hurley, as he complimented him and his coaching staff during the UConn Huskies’ most recent championship run earlier this year.
Before the Woj bomb, Dan Hurley once said he was open to taking an NBA job “down the road.” Now, he might get it with the Los Angeles Lakers.
