The Los Angeles Lakers are still hot. The New York Knicks appeared to be on the verge of dousing cold water on the Lakers’ scorching undefeated streak on Thursday night, but when it was all said and done at Crypto.com Arena, they became just the latest victim of Los Angeles’ run.
Unsurprisingly, LeBron James and Luka Doncic starred in the Lakers’ 113-109 victory versus the Knicks, but one can’t tell the complete story of the game without mentioning the exploits of backup point guard Gabe Vincent.
Los Angeles Lakers got a big boost from Gabe Vincent against the Knicks

The 28-year-old Vincent knocked down three important 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. The first two kept the Lakers within striking distance of the Knicks, while the third one put the Lakers ahead with a little over a minute left in regulation.
Although the Knicks still forced overtime, there was a good chance the Lakers wouldn’t have kept their win streak alive without Vincent’s big night.
“So good, man. A little adversity. We fought, fought back, got the win. Showed a lot of character tonight. Showed a lot of character, good win,” Vincent said after the contest (h/t the Lakers’ X account).

Overall in the contest, Vincent, who inked a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers in 2023, fired 12 points — all from 3-pointers — in 22 minutes of action.
Meanwhile, James had 31 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Doncic, on the other hand, produced 23 points, 12 assists and seven boards plus four steals.
The Lakers now prepare for a massive matchup against historic rivals Boston Celtics on Saturday in Beantown.
