Sunday’s cross-town rivalry showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers had no shortage of action. You just know that there’s always going to be a lot of drama whenever these two teams take to the court, and Sunday’s contest was no exception.
Los Angeles Lakers Star LeBron James Posterizes Paul George
One of the biggest highlights of the evening, unsurprisingly, came courtesy of the one and only LeBron James. Early in the second half, the four-time NBA champ picked up a full head of steam during a fastbreak play. Standing in his way and the rim was Clippers star Paul George.
It did not end well for George:

If you ask me, that did not look like a 39-year-old man. Then again, LeBron has had a knack for not acting his age.
James’ latest antics had the mean streets of Twitter absolutely buzzing:

LeBron Leads Lakers to Much-Needed Victory
The dunk was nice, but the most important takeaway from Sunday night was that the Lakers secured an important victory over the Clippers. LeBron led the way for LA with a game-high 25 points on 11-of-19 shooting, to go along with eight rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a three-pointer in 38 minutes of action as the Lakers escaped with a hard-fought 106-103 victory.
James and Co. entered this game on a four-game losing streak, and it goes without saying that this was a crucial win for the Lakers as they look to improve on their 18-19 standing.
Up next for the Lakers is a matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night.
